Ongoing Projects

SAC is involved in many ongoing projects. A few highlights are below. Read our column in the BETC bulletin or look for signs in the lobby to learn more.

• Family Table - Each month we collect 40 boxes of pasta and crackers for needy Jewish families. Leave donations in the SAC closet, across from the main coat closets.

• High Holiday Food Drive - annual food drive for needy families and individuals. Bags and directions will be distributed on Rosh Hashanah.

• Mitzvah Day - (May 1st) - participate in a wide variety of community service projects inside and outside the temple. A social action Shabbat service is scheduled for the following Friday.

• Spring Concert - (scheduled tentatively for March 13th) - an annual fundraising concert. Each year we pick a designated recipient. Recent past recipients have included Rabbis for Human Rights, and the Southern Poverty Law Center/Klanwatch.

• Collections - We collect cell phones for victims of violence, children's videos for Franciscan's Hospital for Children, and children's and babies' clothing and supplies. Drop off donations in the schmooze room or the SAC closet across from the main coat closets.
