Beth El Temple Center's Adult Learning Opportunities

Adult Learning programs at Beth El Temple Center reflect our congregation's interest in and commitment to Jewish beliefs and practices as well as our desire to be a community of life-long learners.

At BETC you will find traditional offerings including Torah Study, Hebrew language classes and a Volunteer choir. Book groups abound under the auspices of our Sisterhood, Brotherhood, and Library. We offer an Adult B'nai Mitzvah Class, and in the Fall of 2004 we began an affiliation with the Me'ah program. You will also find Jewish learning opportunities conducted in French, Yiddish and ASL (American Sign Language) .

At BETC we grow our Judaism in a variety of formats, from lectures to seminars and from short courses to year-long probes that lead one further. We are taught by fellow congregants who take the initiative to invite friends to study with them, as well as by our own professional staff and Visiting Scholars who share their expertise as theologians, authors, theorists and/or role models for our personal, spiritual and intellectual growth.

We invite you to join with us as we continue, each of us, on our own Jewish journeys.

It is our practice to make our programs available to all who come to learn and grow with us regardless of ability to pay.
